Prados, Land Cruisers and Fortuners go out for protocol duty, visiting delegations, senior management and weddings. They are hired because of how the arrival reads as much as how the vehicle drives.

All of ours are run on the same maintenance schedule as the rest of the fleet, with drivers who have done the work before. Protocol is a job with its own habits, and it is not learnt on the day.

Worth knowing first

Book early for the season: Wedding season and the northern summer take most of this class out of the yard at once. A week's notice in October is not the same as a week's notice in June.
A driver who has done it before: Protocol work is about timing, routes and waiting in the right place. Tell us it is protocol and we will send a driver who has done it rather than whoever is next on the rota.
The fuel is the cost: A Land Cruiser on a long trip can carry more fuel in its quote than daily rate. It is worth seeing the itemised estimate before deciding between this and an SUV.
