Economy hire
Small, frugal cars for city running and short trips. We run 2 vehicles in this class.
What economy are for
A Wagon R or an XBEE is the cheapest way to have a car for a day or a month. Four seats, light on fuel, small enough to park in Lahore's older areas where a saloon spends ten minutes looking.
They go out self-drive almost exclusively, usually to people who need a car for errands and the school run rather than a journey.
Worth knowing first
- Cheapest to run by a distance
- Around fifteen to eighteen kilometres to the litre in the city. Over a month of commuting the fuel saving against a saloon is often larger than the difference in daily rate.
- Not for the motorway with four people
- They will do it, but a long run with a full car and luggage is the one thing this class is not comfortable at. For that, take a saloon.
- Easiest to park, easiest to damage
- Small cars live in tight spaces. Photograph the vehicle at handover, as with any rental, and the deposit question never arises.
